Music in Montevideo

Thank author of this post/commentI try to keep a look out for fun musical events in Montevideo because everything seems to happen under the radar around here!

I stumbled across this on the Montevideo Portal and thought it might interest some people. This band (Aché Cuarteto) was formed by members of the winning candombe cumparsa of Carnival 2008 and they play multiple instruments and do songs by Bob Marley, Stevie Wonder, Buena Vista Social Club and more....

On 5/6/2009 they will play at Lasquinita (José Enrique Rodó on the corner with Minas) starting at 11pm. If you want to call the venue for any reason the number is (00598 2) 409.5028. Entry is 40 pesos.
