| Progressing with all Uruguayan haste... This is a week of great progress here at Feligreta. Last Wednesday we got phone service (2707-1133.) Hip hooray. Along with the contract for the hone service cam apromise of ADSL connection "en 48 horas." Well, Anteldata did call within 48 hours to set an appointment for Monday. Monday they called to reset for tomorrow, Wednesday. So tomorrow we hope to be able to post news about ADSL service - and put the WiFi logo on the windows if the router works. We have two great artists finishing up their shows this week: Monical Cahparro and Paolo Giuffrida. Next wek we should have some owl paintings by a Finnish painter working in Montevideo and other, abstract works by an Australian - neo-Uruguayan. More about these when the works are hung. We did learn a bit abour promising results based on other folks´meeting our schedule. Satruday the 23rd at 23oo hours we´ll have our first open-to-the-public musical event when Javier Z. and his jazz-blues trio put a spring in our step. Caro promises two food choices, plus beverages. Seating is limited to 40at a time. The phone is already starting to ring for resevations (2707-1133). We´ll have pix and an ad up tomorrow. Fianlly, and amazingly quickly, once we made contact, Feligreta has become a Segafredo coffee station. As of today we have full cafeteria service with delicious Italian-roast beans, fresh ground in every espresso cup. The Segafredo team really moves. They presented a demo máquina Monday, installed the wonderful, complicated sounding, hissing and grumbling machine today, put the sign up 10 minutes ago. The other pleasant surprise is that while the espresso-maker is complicated inside, it´s thoroughly automated in it s operation, guaranteeing uniform, quality caffe espresso. And, yes, it is also programmed to produce - on demand - Csfé Américano. Expert Page: Enjoy life a bit at Feligreta |
Comment #110/19/10 18:37Rural east Colonia departmento | "Well done!"
Italian espresso... drool. On the subject of progress I've just spent last year's wheat profits on a Valmet tractor in the interests of efficiency and of getting jobs done when they need to be done rather than relying on contractors' empty promises. Its not new and needs a bit of work done on it but at 20 years old its only one third of my age and I'm still functioning (just) :-) So... now is the time for me to learn the words of the popular song about the "tractor amarillo" and buy myself a beret :-) |
