Exchange Rates and The Peso

I keep reading about prices in US$ and Pesos but not knowing much about the Pesos and what kind of exchange rate there is I decided to do some investigation on my own.

In doing my investigation I found this link that talks about the UYU or the Uruguayan Peso. It's quite an interesting link which discusses how the Peso fluctuates and even has a couple of pictures of the Peso.

So for those who are interested in travelling or emmigrating to Uruguay you might want to check this thread out.

The photos on that website are old. In the past two years the dollar/pesos rate has been fairly stable. It goes up and down but nothing to write home about.

Do the exchange rates change often? I just looked at the site Lee posted and it seems that the US dollar is worth 24.35 pesos.

Since I've been here two years it's dropped to maybe 23.5 and maybe risen to almost 25.
