This website is for those who want to participate. It is not for people to come, drop a link and never return.Additionally, you must participate a little bit before you post a link, and then you can put the link in the appropriate place, so it is a link, not as text in your post. And, additionally, that link box is not to be used for self promotion, as that just encourages uninteresting posts for self-promotional purposes. Read a little bit and you'll see that self-promotion is welcomed here, if you follow the rules. Since you are posting from the Philippines, you are probably just a paid link dropper... There's always room for more... but be interesting, unique and creative... that is with respect to posting here and/or your site.I find mercado libre incredible frustrating to use. They make it hard to be in contact with a merchant, so details, like when, delivery charges, payment options, etc are tedious to get. I realize they do it to "protect" their commissions... but eBay seemed to get over that and is very successful. I think when promoting something on a forum, it's best to use fewer adjectives and be more interesting. Some of the other straight classified sites for Uruguay and other South American countries are ok, but full of irrelevant, spamish ads. ie: stuff for sale in other places, and that includes and maybe especially so, Craigslist for Montevideo. I haven't looked at it in ages as my first look was too disappointing. That is part of the reason for having an iron fist about posting links (and irrelevant) stuff here. I completely agree with you. Mercado Libre is frustrating, but worse is Craigslist, I really do not think is a problem of the websites, is a problem if some people that post there. rented a lot of properties through craigslist in Buenos Aires and Rio Negro (Argentina) and they were what they offer. I am surprise that there is not a reference of beautiful places like Punta del Este, Jose Ignacio, etc. Great to have totaluruguay! Pat |
