After 5 years of boom, wouldn't we all? :-)Atlantida seems to be very popular with both incomers and with MVD-eans. I fear that if you want "cheap" you will have to wait until the northern economies recover and for the economy here to collapse once more. Even here in east Colonia far away from the seaside and the ex-pat community, I see that a place I was considering for 60k U$S back in 2006 has just been sold for 550k U$S. I'd admit that it was exceptional but broadly speaking, props down here have increased in value over that period by a factor of 5 or more. |

If you want cheap, the place to start is Parque del Plata Norte. PdP is two towns east of Atlántida. On the beach side of the ruta they all run together; on the north there are gaps between. |
