| Art Gallery and Tea Room Opening Sept 1 in Pocitos A new tea room and art gallery is opening in Pocitos on September 1st:FeliGreta The address is: Avenida Brasil 2894 (on the corner of Jose Ellauri). Hours: 10am - 10pm, Mon-Sat and till noon on Sunday. They plan to offer present day work from artists in South American and especially Uruguay. Not only can you enjoy the art but also some coffee, tea, and light snacks or dessert. It is designed to be a quiet spot to meet friends and relax or come alone and recover from the stresses of the day in a beautiful and tranquil environment. |

since we do not have the RUT. (Today is a holiday for the Registro Civil, so Monday, maybe, or ¿quién sabe?) So, thanks to Obstáculos Serios del Estado (OSE), our accountant, and the delays in the issuance of a Carné de Salud (promised for today, but...) We can only tell you that Feligreta is up and running once we get the doors open. I´ll be there every afternoon form 3 ´til 5, if you want to drop by.Expert Page: Enjoy life a bit at Feligreta |

It took me 2.5 years to persuade a well drilling crew to turn up here and drill me a new well. I hope that your contador and OSE can sort things out more quickly. |

Wednesday, September 15, was magic night. We opened our door, heated bottled mineral water, dripped coffee, steeped tea, gobbbled brownies and sampledCqro´s ricotta cheesecake. Karn L. sent us a lovely plant before appearing herself with three friends. We had Glen, Peter G., Scott, Robert, Sonia all together at one table for a bit. Another mesa filled with Daniela, Gonzalo, Raul, Laura and Enrique who carried on in Spanish - well, rioplatense. Thursday saw Robert, Monica, Doug and spouse drop by. Uruguayan friends had passed through earlier. Obstaculos Serios del Estado (OSE)? The best we can say is that the water used passed through their pipes sometime in its path to our kitchen. Flowing water?Remember the civil rights anthem of the ´60´s, ¨Deep in my heart, I do believe, we shall overcome someday...´ Plans underway: signage, creating a framework to hang artworks, color everywhere. Today and tomorrow we have the w¡two artists whose works we are featuring painting for the public each afternoon. Paolo Giuffrida now has two paintings adding color to Feligreta´s walls, thanks two medium-format works. He also has three powerful, evocative scuptures in the small gallery. Carola´s acrylic on wood, large format paintings are finally up where they can be seen, too. And the food... Well take a look at www.feligreta.com.
