| Yes, I like to visit art museum, too. Montevideo have a couple of art museums. You can visit the Museo Torres Garcia in Montevideo. You'll find the abstract art of Joaquim Torres-Garcia, one of the country's most influential modern artists, at this museum. |
| Also, check out El Museo Nacional de Artes Visuales in Montevideo. The work of local artists is creatively displayed in this museum that dates back to 1911. I have heard great reviews. |

| Although its quite small gallery, the exhibits change fairly regularly (check out the calendar on the link below) and its always interesting stuff. When I first arrived in Montevideo they had a really moving photo exhibit of those that disappeared during the dictatorship, it was very memorable without scaremongering. At the moment (May 09) they have a great contemporary art display. It's a good one to watch |
